Oatmeal Stout

Maple Rowe soap is handmade in small batches in Chicago by us, Joe and B, with every care and caution taken to ensure a luxurious bathing experience for you. This is some seriously good soap.

Each bar of our soap is made with the very best ingredients we can find. The oils we use are QAI certified organic and our palm oil is sustainable, all sourced from local Chicagoland suppliers. It’s vegan and never tested on animals unless you count all of our friends we’ve made test it over the past few years. Even the little bits and flecks of exfoliants are certified organic whenever possible, which is most of the time. Our goal in creating this soap is to make something wonderful, something we ourselves love to use. Perhaps we’re a little biased, but we won’t use any other soap!

The bars are cut at about 5 to 5.5 ounces and are allowed to cure for two months. This process dries the soap out, which shrinks the soap in weight resulting in a bar we call 4 ounces but is usually in the neighborhood of 4.5 ounces. A soap that is allowed time to dry out will last longer in the bath; If you used a bar of soap that wasn’t allowed time to dry out, you would find it melting away rather quickly. To ensure the longest life possible for your bar of Maple Rowe soap, allow it to dry between uses – a slotted soap dish works wonders.
